Industry 4.0 Transformation on PIMA Kain's Factory Floor

In the Industry 4.0 era, digital transformation is no longer optional — it is a necessity to remain competitive in the increasingly competitive global textile market.

PT PIMA Kain began its digital transformation journey in 2020, integrating IoT systems, artificial intelligence, and data analytics into every aspect of our factory operations.

Real-Time Monitoring System

More than 2,000 IoT sensors are distributed throughout our spinning, weaving, and warp knitting machines, collecting 50+ production parameters every second. This data is transmitted to a centralized dashboard that enables our QC team to monitor production quality in real-time from anywhere.

AI in Quality Control

The AI-based machine vision system we implemented can detect defects in yarn and fabric with 99.7% accuracy — far exceeding human visual inspection capabilities. As a result, reject products dropped 40% in the first 12 months of implementation.

The Results

This digital transformation not only improved product quality, but energy efficiency also increased by 15%, machine setup time was reduced by 30%, and response time to customer complaints dropped from 48 hours to 4 hours.
